1. Purpose
This procedure governs the recording, owner assignment, classification and maintenance of information assets and assets. It operationalises the associated policy ({{LINK:R02}}).
2. Scope
Applies within the ISMS scope ({{ISMS_SCOPE_DESCRIPTION}}).
3. Trigger
New/changed asset; procurement; regular inventory review.
4. Inputs
- Procurement/change notification
- Classification scheme
- Asset inventory ({{TOOL_NAME}})
5. Process
- Record the asset in the inventory ({{TOOL_NAME}}) with attributes.
- Assign an owner.
- Classify (confidentiality/integrity/availability) by the owner.
- Apply handling requirements per protection class (labelling/storage/deletion BL-DEL-01).
- Maintenance & review ({{REVIEW_CYCLE}}) for up-to-dateness.
